TMZ power oil transformers are step-down three-phase two-winding, sealed transformers with oil protection, power from 630 to 2500 kV·A and voltage up to 10 kV, which are mainly intended for transformer substations of internal and external installation.
Specifications:
TMZ power transformers are produced with a nominal voltage of the primary winding (high voltage) up to 10 kV, including the secondary winding (low voltage) - 0.4 or 0.69 kV. To adjust the voltage, the transformers are equipped with a high-voltage switch, which allows you to adjust the voltage in steps of 2.5% by ±2 x 2.5% of the nominal value when the transformer is disconnected from the network on the LV and HV sides.
The switch is connected to the high voltage winding. The maximum deviation of the technical parameters of the transformers are:
- Short circuit voltage ±10%;
- Short-circuit losses on the main branch +10%;
- Idle losses +15%;
- Full weight +10%.

Operating conditions:
Height above sea level - up to 1000 m.
Ambient air temperature:
- for a temperate climate - from -45°С to +40°С (execution "U");
- for cold climates - from -60°C to +40°C ("HL" version). Relative air humidity is no more than 80% at +25°C.
Transformers are not designed to work:
- in an explosive and aggressive environment (which contains gases, vapors, dust of high concentration, etc.);
- with vibration and shaking.
Construction of transformers:
Transformer tanks are welded, rectangular. Radiators are used to increase the cooling surface. The tank and transformer are lifted by hooks located under the upper frame of the tank. In the lower part of the tank wall there is a plug for draining oil, a tap (plug) for taking a sample, and a grounding bolt. The active part consists of windings, a high-voltage switch and a magnetic circuit, which is made of high-quality electrical steel. Steel is cut on the "GEORG" line, the charging of the magnetic conductor is carried out according to the "Step-Lap" scheme. Transformer windings are aluminum.
Inputs HV and LV of the external installation, removable, through insulators are made of porcelain. At a current of 1000 A and above, a special contact clamp with a blade is attached to the upper part of the current-carrying rod, which ensures the connection of a flat busbar. The inputs are located on the narrow walls of the tank. An oil indicator is installed on the wall of the oil nitrogen expander to control the oil level. There are three control marks on the oil indicator corresponding to the oil level in the non-working transformer at different temperatures:
–45°С, +15°С, +40°С - performance "U";
–60°С, +15°С, +40°С - execution of "HL", as well as a control mark corresponding to the oil level at the sealing temperature.
A nitrogen cushion protects the oil from oxidation and compensates for temperature fluctuations of the oil volume.
Thermometer sensors are installed to measure the temperature of the upper layers of oil.
A manovacuumometer is installed to control the internal pressure and signal about the maximum allowable pressure values.
For protection, a safety diaphragm or pressure switch is installed, which activates when a pressure of 0.75 atm is reached in the tank and gases escape.
