Operating conditions of the arrester
Arresters RVN-0.5 U1 are designed for operation in areas with a temperate and tropical climate at ambient temperatures:
- from -45 to +40° С - for execution RVN-0.5 U1;
- from -10 to +50° С - for execution РВН-0,5 Т1.
Installation height above sea level is not more than 1000 m.
Relative humidity:
- at a temperature of +25° C up to 100%
- for the version RVN-0.5U1;
- at a temperature of +35° С up to 100%
- for the version РВН-0,5Т1.
Structurally, the arrester RVN-0.5 U1 for a voltage of 0.5 kV consists of a single spark gap and a working non-linear resistor enclosed in a sealed plastic case. The working resistor of the arresters RVN-0.5 U1 has a non-linear current-voltage characteristic. The resistor in the arresters RVN-0.5 is made of a special mass "Vilit-2", the resistor in the arresters RVNO-0.5 U1 is made on the basis of zinc oxide. The spark gap is formed by two shaped brass electrodes separated by an insulating gasket. Arresters RVN-0.5 are manufactured in accordance with TU U 31.2-22820979-002:2007.
