Low-voltage fuses, fusible, PN2P series are designed for protection of electrical installations and electric circuits of alternating current voltage 380/220V industrial frequency 50 and 60 Hz and direct current - 220V in case of short circuits and overloads.
High-efficiency protection of low-voltage distribution networks is the main task of low-voltage fuses. The products are used as means of protecting electrical installations with a voltage of 380V against overloads and short-circuit currents. Installation of such protection devices as low-voltage fuses in some areas of the power supply make the electric current energy safe. The operation of electrical installations with fuses prevents the occurrence of fires and serious accidents.
Depending on the model, the inserts are activated when an electric current flows from 30 to 630 A, which allows them to be used in various energy supply systems. The low-voltage fuse is a fusible insert placed in a strong electro-technical porcelain housing. The inner hollow space is filled with quartz sand. When the current passes through the fuse, the insert is triggered, which melts, and the resulting arc is extinguished by a thicker sand. Due to the fact that quartz sand and porcelain are non-combustible materials, the use of fuses protects the electrical installation from fire. One of the most important advantages of these products is the ease of their replacement. The replacement is carried out by specially trained personnel who have the appropriate qualifications. Also, the products can be reusable and repairable. In the event of tripping, the fuses can be returned for restoration (the fusible insert is changed and new quartz sand is filled in). In normal operation, the products are durable and do not change their main characteristics over time.
